Field Signal is the daily operating-system memo for sports technology. One piece every weekday, source-first, written from the operator's seat. We map the workflows underneath the headlines: how scouting AI changes a draft, how broadcast rights stacks compound, how clipping economies move ad inventory, how prediction markets price what television can't.
Who reads
What we publish
Daily essays on sports AI, media rights, athlete data, scouting workflows, prediction markets, broadcast economics, and the builder loops underneath them. No generic roundup. Every piece leaves the reader with a sharper model of the market, the workflow, or the system worth building. Recent coverage:
- The clipping-economy customer layer (ESPN, YouTube, automated highlight stacks)
- Sports rights control panels (DAZN, ViewLift, MLB, IPL)
- IPL scouting AI feeder-club operating system
- Kalshi sports decision systems and prediction-market pricing
- Athlete biometric war (Whoop vs Catapult) and AI injury-risk modeling
- NFL schedule pricing leverage, NBA tracking data deals
Founding-sponsor offer
Founding sponsors get in at the ground floor. We're early, the audience is small but high-quality, and founding pricing locks in year-2 rate for renewals. When traffic compounds (it will), so does the value — you paid the founding price.
- Logo + tagline in the footer block of every weekday issue (≈65 issues over 3 months)
- One dedicated sponsored section per quarter — your message, your link, marked as sponsored, integrated into the editorial flow
- One feature interview with a founder, product lead, or operator from your company, published as a Field Signal piece
- First-look access to upcoming coverage in your category — we tell you before we publish
- Founder-direct line to Pranav — Slack/Telegram/email, you skip the queue
What sponsored placement looks like
Sponsored sections are clearly marked, written in the Field Signal voice (we draft them with you, you approve), and placed where readers actually engage — inside the editorial flow, not in a banner ghetto. A sample placement at the bottom of a piece on biometric workflows:

Why founding pricing
Three reasons. One: we're new. The audience is real but small (no inflated traffic claims here). Two: founding sponsors get reciprocal credibility from us — we point at the slots that filled and the companies that took them, and that compounds in your category. Three: we'd rather lock in five operators who'll be with us for year two than churn through dozens at higher prices. Founding sponsorship is a relationship, not a placement.
The fine print
- Payment: $500 invoiced once, 3-month run starts the first issue your placement ships.
- Renewal: founding rate ($500) locks for one year. Standard rate is $2,000 once the founding round closes; founding sponsors get first refusal at the lower rate at renewal.
- Editorial firewall: sponsored placements never affect editorial coverage. We'll write about your competitors. We'll write about you, sometimes critically. That's the deal. If you want pay-to-play coverage, this isn't it.
- Slot count: 5 slots. First-come from interested companies. Open as of May 2026.
